I asked the universe, how can I learn to be funny? People tell me I’m funny all the time. I just don’t see it.
It was a genuine question, and came out of a dark time.
I was feeling pretty depressed. Relationship breakup, financial woes, economic pressures. Global warming. Planet burning. There’s a lot to feel sad about.
Then, somewhere out of the mist, a couple of lanterns appeared. Some funny snarky people! Where did they come from? No clue. My question to the universe bounced off some space pirate’s spaceship on an errant mission, or maybe just a lost asteroid.
Don’t know. Don’t care. Just grateful.
Now, I’m surrounded by funny people. And learning how to write comedy.
I remembered laughing once. When I was a child. Also, something that came out of the mist.
So now, whenever I see mist rising from the trees in the morning, I just think about all that serendipity.
Who knew that mist could be so anchoring?
Glad you’re here to join me on the journey.
